In this all-ages services, as we celebrate our Religious Education program and everyone and everything that makes this congregation what it is, let us recognize the importance of the “eye of the beholder” (us!). Called by Beauty Sunday's Service: June 2nd at 9am in Smith Hall Led By Rev. Ellen Quaadgras UU minister Scott Taylor writes, “Beauty does more than soothe and heal. It demands. It calls. It doesn’t just say “Love and appreciate me.” [...] It paints a picture of new ways of living and declares, “Follow me there!” What might it look like to soak in the beauty around us, allow it to grab our hearts and move us forward? What would it look like to allow our love for all we perceive to inspire our lives? As we celebrate our bridging youth this Sunday and acknowledge their entry into young adulthood and forward into their lives, let us all ask ourselves the question, what might it look like to be “called by beauty?” One Service at 9am in Smith Hall, Religious Education Classes for children and youth at 9am, Nursery Care for children 6months to 4years at 9am, Congregational meeting at 10:15

The organ recital PIPES OF POWER, PRAISE, & GLORY: REMEMBERING FRED GILLIS, Sunday, October 25, 2015, 3-5pm, in the Sanctuary at Westminster Unitarian Church in East Greenwich, RI, featured Richard Hill, renowned organist, friend & colleague of our beloved late Minister Emeritus, The Rev. Frederick Gillis who was instrumental in the design & completion of our Opus 35 Roche Organ. Robert Roche, one of the builders of the organ, was on hand to share just why our "little gem of a pipe organ" is so unique and will be with us for 100 years or more if maintained properly. Mr. Hill, assisted by John Eastman (a Westminster member who was the narrator for two of the program pieces), offering a program of 14 selections from diverse musical genres showcased the capabilities of our organ. This concert was funded by the Gillis Memorial Fund for Music founded by Judith Gillis, Rev. Fred's widow.
There is still time to join the Westminster Walkers. Or you can be a Spirit Walker, make a donation and be with us in spirit. Slide show created by Ellen Quaadgras with CWS Crop Hunger slides.
Carolyn & Bill did a great rendition of You Are Theist, I Am Humanist written by Meg and Scott Bassinson at today's worship service.
